M4 Motorway Widening – Stage 1

Highlights
Prefabrication of 2,500 tonnes of reinforced steel elements in our purpose-built prefabrication facility in Wetherill Park. The M4 Motorway Widening project is one of NSW's largest infrastructure projects.

Murra Warra Wind Farm

Highlights
A challenge was creating the 36mm diameter radius bars so that they fit together perfectly on site. Our quality production processes ensured the foundations were assembled exactly as designed. The Civilex civil engineering team were pleased with the quality and delivery of the steel reinforcement.

Metro Tunnel

Highlights
Processing and supply of steel reinforcement for the ANZAC Station roof. We utilised our 5D detailing software to eliminate assembly issues by providing steel fixers with 2D and 3D marking plans. The $11 billion infrastructure project will enable more than a half a million additional passengers per week across Melbourne’s train network during peak periods.

Brisbane Airport Link

Highlights
AUSREO, in partnership with principal contractor, Theiss John Holland, formed the BRISREO joint venture to manufacture and supply reinforcing steel for one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects.

Gullen Range Wind Farm

Highlights
The reinforcement for 73 complex, dome shaped pad footings was scheduled using AUSREO's 5D modelling software. This provided accurate marking plans and identified potential placement issues before material was manufactured and delivered to site. Prefabricated piles helped reduce time and labour on site, and innovative delivery methods helped speed up the project.

Melbourne Airport Control Tower

Highlights
The 79m tower was constructed using a slipform method of in-situ concrete. AUSREO scheduled and supplied the reinforcement for a continuous concrete pour that lasted 26 hours until the top was reached.

Epping to Chatswood Rail Link

Highlights
AUSREO manufactured and supplied the reinforcement for 13 km of twin rail tunnels. A civil engineering achievement was the tunnel excavation. Reinforcing mesh and steel fibre reinforced shotcrete were applied to the crown of the tunnel from a platform at the head of the Tunnel Boring Machine to secure unstable strata and make safe.

Cotter Dam Elargement

Highlights
The Enlarged Cotter Dam is recognised as the largest roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam and the third largest concrete gravity dam in Australia. The reinforcement for this major infrastructure project was supplied by AUSREO.

Great Western Highway Upgrade

Highlights
Great Western Highway Upgrade involved the conversion of a 2.9 km section of two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided road with a raised central median, bus zones and enhanced pedestrian/bicycle facilities. AUSREO manufactured and supplied the reinforcing steel for this complex civil engineering project.
